Our Camping Site
Story

Upon our retirement in 2012, we bought the property- a tiny, old, tumbled-down house with great big holes in the roof. We knew we would take it down and build a new place. There lies a small, years-neglected olive grove at the back. It took us four years before moving into the new house we built. Years were spent preparing its construction and implementation plans and learning about olive growing and oil production. The results were far beyond our expectations. We created ourselves a little paradise.

Right from the beginning, I remember a friend's daughter showed interest in borrowing the backyard, "This is where I want to have my wedding party..." she said.

So, a few more years passed, and our love for travelling and wish to share the abundance with others merged, and here we are, deciding to give it a try. At the back of the house, in the heart of our olive grove, we offer a small camping site where we will be pleased to let you stay overnight.

The complex includes clean toilets and hot water showers, picnic tables, an outdoor kitchen, a fire pit, tabun, and a swimming pool.

For your convenience, a selection of tents with different levels of equipment, are offered, as well setting up your own private tent.

The Hut

The Milky Way

In the center of the olive grove was a tent that served as a collection point for the olives during the harvest season. During the "Carmel" storm, the roof flew and tore. We decided not to put back the canvas roof and build a ridgid roof in its place. From there, the tent became a wooden hut equipped with electricity and heating and decorated with garden artwork.
